topic: Introduce myself



I am Tingni Shiao. My English name is Winni that is exactly my cram school's teacher named me. I am twenty-one years old, and studying in Chung Shan medical university. I come from a warm family in Nantou. My hometown is simplicity and beautiful. My father works in China and mother clerks in a supermarket. Our family has six members; I have two sisters and a little brother. Even thought I am the youngest daughter, however, I am not spoiled . My parents make very sure of that by training me to be independent.


Retrospect my academic career; I have not only trying to get good grades but also being active on sport. I have joined the badminton club and serve as a publicist in many open tournaments. In second years of the high school, we held a big contest such as race and match of cheer squad. As I am the flyer in the team, I should trust my teammates. From these activities I make may friends, have lots of fun, and gain many valuable experiences. In addition to doing my radical on schoolwork, I take exercise regularly to stay healthy. Almost every day after school, I like to ride bike or play badminton with my classmates. By doing this, I can relax myself and stretch my body.


My foundation of English has been developed since my childhood. My parents encouraged me to attend the English cram school. This was my first contact with English. My English taught us a lot of idioms and vocabulary by playing little games.By starting learning English in this way at really early age, I had an advantage in learning it. We often read Time Magazine , and then discuss the content with my classmates. Although, we found it is difficult but we encouraged each other that not to give up. Gradually we found that we had made improvement, which made us extremely excite. Later the group discussion of English books and magazines has become one of the most enjoyable things for us.

I decided to major in Foreign Languages that I am familiar with. So I choose the Department of Applied Foreign Languages. I finally determined to become a professional translator in an international company. To fulfill this dream, I need related training and cultivation.
